Conservation Services at KU Libraries is responsible for performing book repair, conservation treatments and commercial binding on materials from the Libraries' diverse collections. The department is located in the Spencer Research Library.

Conservation Services strives to reach the following goals:

  • Increase access to library materials
  • Perform high-quality conservation treatments
  • Maintain a high level of treatment production
  • Increase visibility of conservation within the Libraries, the University of Kansas, the state of Kansas, and nation
