Five students from this spring's Introduction to Museum Exhibits course (MUSE 703) have created an exhibit of puzzles and games that will be on display at the Kenneth Spencer Research Library starting May 3 through the summer.
The exhibit, "Riddle Me This: A History of Games and Puzzles," showcases the history of games and puzzles through the diverse collections of the Kenneth Spencer Research Library. Different cultures and time periods are represented using books, photos, and artifacts organized broadly into four themes: board games, cards, puzzles, and word games. Through these themes, the students have explored the origins and evolution of games that entertain and educate.
The exhibit curators, all graduate students in the museum studies program at KU, are Gillian Armstrong, Melissa Doebele, Megan Perez, Jami Roskamp and Ashley Sharratt.
